I wanted a Croft Integrated but none to be found and new wait list is now well into The Rega Elex-R dynamics sound better than Rogue or PS. It's pretty darn crystal clear, too. Bass is immediately more pronounced and natural sounding. Since its release a few months ago, the Rega Elex-R integrated amplifier has been exactly that — in the shadows of its siblings. Hi guys, I recently upgraded to a Rega Elex-R (Fantastic!) and am currently pairing it with Monitor Audio Bronze 2 as well as the KEF Q Quick observation--The Elex really made the Bronze 2 much more enjoyable (treble/mids more open, bass more punchy); it didn't improve the Q by much (actually I think there's a bit too much bass now. A remote handset is included of course , with which you can select source, adjust the volume and mute the amp, and use with Rega digital sources. I opted for the awesome Rega Aria phono stage. I loaned the Elex-R to a friend who has a pretty solid system pushing Wharfdale speakers. He has fallen in love with the Rega sound. His living room is perfect for this amp, so a great match. Last Friday I started my journey to upgrade my Rega Brio amplifier purchased back in There are so many options but I only want to consider amps I can demo at home, so it made sense to start with my local dealer and listen to the Rega Elex-R, Elicit-R and some obvious alternatives they stocked. Sonics: The Elex-R displays a very solid grip on the bass and reaches deeper into the bass than I've had recently. The Elex-R has been nothing if not persistent since its arrival. Their more direct approach makes it easier to access, but almost all of that brilliant detail is still there in the far richer and wider soundstage of the Wharfedales.

Nov 6, #1. This is my first post! I have recently purchased a Rega Elex R to go with my Bluesound Vault 2 source. I am using Tellerium Q Black interconnects and Blue+ speaker cable. My current speakers are Focal vs. I am looking to upgrade the speakers and have a budget in the region of £1, I like a good deep bass with large. Impressive stuff. The Planar 6 now comes in a single finish, a rather fetching grey matte with glossy black edges, rather than a choice of bright colours.
